These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Triformia.com website (“the Site”) and any products or services provided by Triformia Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing the Site or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Triformia

Triformia Ltd is a UK-registered company specialising in the design, manufacture, and sale of 3D-printed products produced in-house.

All 3D-printed products are designed, printed, and finished using our own equipment, materials, and manufacturing processes. Each item may differ slightly due to the nature of additive manufacturing.

2. Use of the Site

You agree not to:

  • misuse the Site

  • attempt to copy, reverse engineer, or extract proprietary design information

  • interfere with the security or availability of the Site

  • use the Site or our products for any unlawful purpose

We reserve the right to refuse service or cancel orders at our discretion.

3. Product Information & 3D Printing Characteristics

Due to the nature of 3D printing:

  • items may feature minor variations, layer lines, colour differences, or surface imperfections

  • strength and performance vary depending on material choice and intended use

  • printed products are not identical to mass-manufactured injection-moulded items

  • product tolerances may vary within reasonable limits

You acknowledge and accept that these characteristics are normal and do not constitute defects.

4. Safety Disclaimer

Unless explicitly stated otherwise:

  • 3D-printed products are not certified for load-bearing, structural, electrical, medical, or safety-critical use

  • products must be used for their intended purpose only

  • you are responsible for assessing suitability for your specific application

  • Triformia Ltd is not liable for injury, damage to property, or losses arising from misuse, improper installation, or modification of our products

If a product interacts with animals, appliances, tools, moving parts, or chemicals, you must use it responsibly and at your own risk.

5. Custom and Bespoke Orders

For custom designs or modifications:

  • all custom orders are final and non-refundable

  • we own the rights to designs we create unless explicitly agreed in writing

  • you confirm that any files, models, or concepts you supply do not infringe third-party IP

  • Triformia is not responsible for performance of designs supplied by the customer

  • we may refuse any custom request for technical, legal, or safety reasons

We may use generic elements of custom work to improve future product designs unless protected by NDA.

6. Intellectual Property

All designs, models, images, product listings, branding, and content displayed on Triformia.com are the intellectual property of Triformia Ltd.

You may not reproduce, copy, sell, distribute, or replicate our designs without written permission.

Purchasing a product does not grant ownership of the underlying 3D model or design rights.

7. Orders, Pricing & Payment

  • Orders are only confirmed once payment is received

  • Prices may change without notice

  • We reserve the right to reject or cancel orders where errors occur (pricing, stock, system issues)

  • VAT will be charged where applicable

8. Shipping & Delivery

  • Dispatch times are estimates, not guarantees

  • Courier delays, weather, strikes, customs control or operational issues are outside our control

  • Risk passes to you once the item is handed to the courier

  • Any delivery issues must be reported within 48 hours of receipt

9. Returns & Refunds

Due to the custom and made-to-order nature of 3D-printed products:

  • returns are only accepted for manufacturing defects or incorrect items

  • cosmetic variations are not considered defects

  • items damaged through misuse or modification are not eligible for refund

  • custom and personalised products cannot be returned

We may request photographic evidence before assessing any claim.

10. Warranty

Unless stated otherwise:

  • Products carry no warranty beyond statutory consumer rights

  • We do not guarantee suitability for a particular purpose

  • Wear, impact damage, heat exposure, UV damage, or improper handling are not covered

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, Triformia Ltd is not liable for:

  • indirect, consequential, or incidental loss

  • loss of business, revenue, data, or profits

  • personal injury or property damage resulting from misuse or modification of products

  • reliance on custom user-supplied design files

Maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific product.

12. User Content & Reviews

By submitting content (reviews, images, feedback), you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use it for marketing and product improvement.

We may remove content that is false, unlawful, abusive, misleading, or promotional in nature.

13. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our products for:

  • illegal activities

  • unsafe mechanical applications

  • load-bearing or structural purposes

  • electrical enclosures unless certified

  • medical or prosthetic use unless explicitly permitted

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Terms & Conditions – CAD Design & 3D Printing Services

By placing an order with Triformia, you agree to the following terms:

1. Scope of Service

All CAD design and 3D printing services are provided based on the information, files, and instructions supplied by the customer. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure all dimensions, specifications, and intended use are accurate and complete.

2. Pricing

Prices shown at checkout are estimates based on the selected options and information provided.

If the project scope, complexity, or requirements differ materially from the submitted information, Triformia reserves the right to adjust pricing. In such cases, you will be contacted for approval before any additional charges are applied.

3. Revisions

Design services include a limited number of revisions as specified in the selected service.

Additional revisions, changes in scope, or rework may incur additional charges.

4. Lead Times

Estimated turnaround times are provided as guidance only and are not guaranteed.

Lead times may vary depending on:

  • Project complexity
  • Order volume
  • Communication delays

5. File Suitability & Printability

All designs are optimised for 3D printing processes (FDM) based on standard practices.

Triformia does not guarantee:

  • Structural performance
  • Mechanical strength
  • Suitability for load-bearing, safety-critical, or regulated applications

Unless explicitly agreed in writing.

6. Intellectual Property

All CAD designs, files, and associated outputs created by Triformia remain the intellectual property of Triformia unless full ownership rights are explicitly purchased in writing.

Upon payment, the customer is granted a non-exclusive licence to use the design for personal or commercial purposes, including manufacturing and resale.

Triformia reserves the right to reuse, modify, or resell design concepts, elements, or derivatives unless exclusivity has been agreed in advance.

7. Exclusive Rights (Optional Purchase)

Exclusive ownership and transfer of intellectual property rights can be arranged for an additional fee and must be agreed in writing prior to completion of the project.

8. Commercial Use & Compliance

Customers are solely responsible for ensuring that any products created, manufactured, or sold comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and safety standards.

This includes (but is not limited to):

  • Product safety
  • Labelling
  • Consumer regulations

9. Customer-Provided Files

By submitting files or designs, the customer confirms they have the right to use and reproduce the content.

Triformia is not liable for any intellectual property infringement arising from customer-submitted files.

10. Production & Tolerances

3D printing is an additive manufacturing process and may result in minor variations in:

  • Surface finish
  • Dimensions
  • Layer lines

These are considered normal and acceptable.

11. Refunds & Cancellations

Due to the custom nature of CAD design and 3D printing services:

  • Orders cannot be cancelled once work has commenced
  • Design services are non-refundable once started
  • Printed products are non-refundable unless faulty

12. Liability

Triformia shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of any designs or printed products.

Use of all products and designs is at the customer’s own risk.

13. Communication

Customers are responsible for responding promptly to any requests for clarification or approval.

Delays in communication may impact lead times.

14. Amendments

Triformia reserves the right to update or amend these terms at any time without prior notice.
